Ndzimandze sisters walk 400km to break workplace bullying cycle

Today marks day 4 of the sisters’ journey as they head to Nkomazi.

Two brave sisters from the place of the rising sun, Faith Ndzimandze and Phelelile ‘Phell’ Ndzimandze, have embarked on a remarkable 400km walk from Springs to Nkomazi to raise awareness about the impact of workplace bullying.

Faith, who suffered a mild stroke as a result of bullying at work, said the idea of walking came as a way to reclaim her strength and voice.

“When the thought came to me, I shared it with my sister. She immediately offered to join, because she too had been a victim,” Faith said.

Now on day four, the sisters have left eMalahleni and are heading toward Middelburg.

With limited resources, they have been resting at fuel stations overnight, and are appealing to lodges, hotels, and B&Bs to assist with accommodation as they stress that the cold weather are not making any justice for them.

The duo emphasised that they took the lead; now, the public can join hands and break the cycle together with them.

The sisters are also urging members of the public to support their journey by donating light essentials such as water, fruits, and energy bars.

“The road ahead is still long; we cannot carry heavy loads,” they said.
