Robbers clean out shop in eMalahleni CBD

The robbers zoomed in on the iPhones

Armed robbers hit a shop in the CBD last week and the robbers had their eyes fixed on iPhones.


According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer David Ratau the armed men entered the shop, on the corner of Arras and Mandela Street just before noon.


This immediately caught the staff off-guard.

The robbers shoved the employees away from the shelves, forcing them toward the back office.


They ordered the terrified staff to lie down.


The robbers specifically targeted iPhones and also took jewellery and an undisclosed amount of cash.

One of the employees shared that while the team was deeply terrified by the ordeal, everyone is fortunately unharmed.


Attempts by WITBANK NEWS to reach the store owner for comment were unsuccessful.


Local authorities are investigating the incident, and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
