Themba is ready to take on the Comrades for the 25th time
The Nkangala Athletics Academy trio is ready to fly the Nkangala District flag high at the Comrades Marathon.
Nkangala Athletics Academy (NAA) has three athletes on the starting line of this year’s Comrades Marathon.
Leading on June 14, the academy’s contingent is veteran athlete Themba Skosana, who will be making his 25th Comrades Marathon appearance.
Themba first participated in the race in 1999, where he achieved an impressive bronze medal finish.
Over the years, he has become the academy’s most capped Comrades athlete, inspiring younger runners through his dedication and consistency.
Joining him is Sizwe Mokoena, who will be competing in his fifth Comrades Marathon.
Sizwe began his Comrades journey in 2022 and successfully earned a Vic Clapham Medal in his debut race.
The third NAA representative is Sipho Ndlovu, who will be attempting his second Comrades Marathon.
Sipho made his debut in 2025 and delivered a strong performance to secure a bronze medal finish.
