Cansa Mpumalanga hosted a lively bingo night at Del Forno to raise funds for cancer patients. The event, which formed part of the Relay For Life fundraiser, brought the community of eMalahleni together for an exciting evening on July 17.

Participants were required to pay R20 per game, with each round offering awesome prizes and lots of laughs.

“As the balls rolled out and markers crossed out the numbers one by one, we most certainly had great fun in raising much-needed funds for a good cause,” Andries du Preez of Cansa Mpumalanga said. “Funds raised by Cansa are primarily channelled into research, patient care, screening and education initiatives across SA so that no one faces cancer alone.”

Du Preez thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the event, particularly the volunteers, Koos Coetzee and Ria van der Merwe, who played a key role in organising it.

“To the extra hands, the people making the impossible possible, thank you for always being a helping hand and sharing the love for this cause,” he said.
