Eunice creates safe space for women to connect and grow
The Kwa-Guqa resident said it all started with her childhood pain, which created in her a strong desire to be heard and seen for who she is and not her scars.
Eunice Khanye refused to let childhood scars define her; instead, she used them as fuel to create a space for women to freely be themselves and be reminded that they don’t have to figure out everything on their own.
The 31-year-old from Kwa-Guqa shared that it all started when she survived a terrible incident as a toddler.
“I am a burns survivor. At just three years old, I went through an experience that could have defined my life, but instead, I chose to see myself as a conqueror,” she said.
Driven by her strong desire to be heard and seen for who she is and not her scars, Khanye decided to start an empowerment movement called She Conquers, which she established in 2024.
Not only is the movement focused on Khanye’s personal journey, but it has also become a sisterhood community where women get to gather and nurture each other.

The founder said it even goes beyond motivation because it provides a space for women to connect, share resources, showcase their work, build meaningful relationships, and find the courage to pursue their dreams.
“I believe there is power in women coming together, sharing knowledge, and opening doors for one another,” she said.
Despite moments of self-doubt, fear, and uncertainty that tend to challenge her every now and then, she said she always soldiers on because she has learned that being afraid does not mean she should stop.
“I overcome these challenges by reminding myself of why I started, staying grounded in my purpose, praying, learning, and surrounding myself with people who encourage growth,” she said.
As we step into Women’s Month, Khanye said she is currently working on creating meaningful experiences that bring women together, not only to empower one another but also to pause, reconnect, and take care of themselves.
