Future Stars netball team needs support to shoot their shot on big court

Future Stars netball players look to shoot their shot with community backing.

Future Stars is calling on the public to assist its netball team as they prepare for the upcoming Telkom Netball Championships, where four players and their coach have been selected to represent the district.

The team, based in Klarinet, said it needs to raise R19 850 to cover participation costs for the tournament. Coach Ayando Khalo said the selection of multiple players marks a significant achievement for the club and the community.

“It is moments like these where you get to be proud. This moment is not just a victory for Future Stars Sports Club but for the entire Klarinet,” she said.

She added that in previous years, only one player from the team would typically be selected to represent the district, but this season four players have earned selection, highlighting the growth of the club.

Among the selected players are Shannon Mhlongo, Naobile Masuku, Nobuhle Skhosana, and Nompumelelo Ntuli.

“To every young netball athlete out there, it is possible for you to reach greater heights regardless of where you come from,” she concluded.
