Local businesses shine at Geringer Street Market
Geringer Street Market combines local shopping with giving back.
The Geringer Street Market once again brought residents together, celebrating local entrepreneurship while supporting a community blanket drive for those in need during the winter season.
Held under the theme “Shop Local, Support Local and Love Local”, the market on July 4 featured a variety of local businesses, crafters, and exhibitors, giving entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their products and services while encouraging residents to invest in the local economy.
Among the exhibitors was Alta’s Beauty Creations, where Jeanette Luies and Alta Lessing displayed a range of beauty products and connected with shoppers throughout the day.
The market also served as a collection point for a blanket drive aimed at helping vulnerable community members stay warm during the colder months. Volunteers Shamiso Gavure, Sarie Davies, Anneke Schafer, Eloise du Toit, and Dan Mpofu assisted with collecting donations and engaging with visitors who wanted to contribute to the initiative.
Local businesses also used the event to strengthen ties with the community.
