First Geringer Street blankets delivered

The Geringer Street market is happening next week. You do not want to miss out on all the fun.

The Geringer Street businesses are going the extra mile for charity this year. The first load of warm blankets collected from Kunsmyn was handed over to pastor Deon Scheepers. He will hand out these blankets during his street ministry, called Shack Ministries.

They take to the streets every Wednesday night to feed the less privileged.

The blanket drive is part of a charity initiative by the Geringer Street Market.

Businesses along the street accepted a challenge to collect blankets and clothes.

This is all part of the run-up to the popular market taking place on July 4.

This market offers a perfect blend of local charity, community spirit, and fitness.

It is important to note that the route for the July market has changed, and runners will gather at Chass Everitt for the fun run that is set to start at 08:00.

Entry to the fun run is structured to give back to the community. Instead of a traditional registration, participants can secure their spot on the starting line by donating a can of non-perishable food under the heart-warming slogan, ‘You-can’.

Your four-legged friend is welcome to join in the morning run.

The excitement does not end at the finish line. All participants are invited to stay and enjoy the Geringer Street Market following the race.

Come and enjoy a morning filled with good laughs, a variety of stalls showcasing handmade goodies, mouth-watering eats, and good coffee.

The market runs from 08:00 to 13:00.
