Two injured, one trapped in Klipfontein crash

Authorities remain on the scene, and motorists are advised to avoid the area or expect delays.

A serious accident has occurred at the intersection of Watermeyer and Stevenson streets in Klipfontein.
Two people have been rushed to the hospital with injuries.

Emergency services and other authorities remain at the scene, where rescue operations are still underway.

One occupant remains trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Rescue teams are preparing to cut open a taxi to safely free the trapped person.


Traffic has backed up and motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution when approaching the area and to expect delays while emergency personnel continue their work.


The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
