Masokolara crowned U12 Mpumalanga Junior Champions

Young stars shine as club sweeps provincial U12 championship.

Masokolara announced itself as one of Mpumalanga’s rising youth football powerhouses after producing a sensational display to win the 2026 Mpumalanga Junior U12 Championship, a one-day tournament that attracted 24 of the province’s best teams.

The feeder club for Klarinet, Dortmund, not only lifted the coveted provincial trophy on July 18 but also dominated the individual awards.

Mpilo Mkhize (9) stole the spotlight with a series of dazzling performances to be crowned Player of the Tournament, while Njabulo Maluleke (11) was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament after producing match-winning saves throughout the competition.

To complete a memorable day for the club, Hande Mokwana walked away with the Coach of the Tournament award.

Speaking on behalf of the team, Coach Tebello Nyanke said, “This victory means everything to us because it shows that hard work, discipline, and teamwork always pay off.”
