Siyanqoba family held at gunpoint as robbers flee with company bakkie
Residents are urged to keep their doors and windows securely locked at all times to help prevent house robberies.
The Witbank SAPS is looking for two robbers following a house robbery in Siyanqoba, during which a family was held at gunpoint, and a vehicle was stolen.
According to the police, a man alleged that on July 30 around 19:50 he was inside his house with his family when two armed men entered his home through an unlocked door.
He said the two men, who were wearing balaclavas, pointed guns at his family and demanded he hand over the keys to his work bakkie.
The men then reportedly stole three cellphones, a wallet containing cash, and a bar fridge, and fled the scene in the man’s Toyota Hilux GD6.

The SAPS advise all residents to keep their doors and windows locked, report any unusual or suspicious activity to the police, and know their surroundings, as well as their neighbours, in case help is required.
