Siyanqoba case back in court as supporters demand justice
The two accused are expected to appear before the court, while supporters of the victim continue to demand justice.
The Siyanqoba rape and robbery case returns to the eMalahleni Regional Court today, with the two accused expected to appear before the court.
The matter was transferred to the regional court during their previous appearance on June 17 and was postponed to August 11.
The accused remain in custody, while police continue searching for a third suspect linked to the case.
The case dates back to September 21 last year, when a woman reported that three men allegedly broke into her home while she was asleep with her children.
According to police, the suspects allegedly forced their way inside after smashing a bedroom window. The victim told authorities that she moved her children to another room before confronting the attackers.
She alleged that one suspect pointed a firearm at her, demanded money, and later forced her into another bedroom where she was allegedly raped.

Women from the community have continued to attend court proceedings in support of the victim, calling for justice and stronger action against gender-based violence.
Community member Nomsa Masiyela previously said, “We stand with the victim and support all women who face such violence. We invite more women to join us, because incidents like this can happen to anyone, and together we can raise our voices for justice.”
