Nkangala Athletic Academy runner wins Middelburg 10km race
Junior runner Khethiwe Caster placed second overall in the women's category during an impressive display.
Nkangala Athletic Academy (NAA) athletes continued their impressive form during the Middelburg Marathon Club 10km race.
The event took place in Middelburg on September 19, when Lesigo Mabaso won the men’s race. He was closely followed by Gugulethu Thanjekwayo, who finished second, while Nkosinathi Skosana rounded off the podium in third place.
In the women’s division, Khethiwe Caster won the junior female category and placed second overall, followed by Kay Mlangeni and Refiloe Mashiloane.
Coach Emmanuel Mabaso said: “NAA continues to dominate road running. A clean sweep is a sign of improvement, and it is motivating to see a junior win an overall category. It shows that we don’t rely on one individual – the future looks bright.”
