I just don’t ‘Fit’ in any more

Exercising has been allowed at home in your yard, you are allowed to jog and cycle but do not forget to social distance, this is fair in some way to stay fit

What a year it has been, dealing with major events happening across the world from wildfires in Australia, the airstrike on Iranian General Qassem Soleimani that almost sparked world war three between USA and Iran, the death of Kobe Bryant and even the outbreak of CovidD-19 that overshadow every event up to this point.

Due to coronavirus a lot of nations went into lockdown like South-Africa.

Since some lockdown regulations and bans have been lifted, some industries, such as travel and restaurants have slowly been allowed to reopen under strict lockdown regulations but still, no fitness establishments have been given the go-ahead to reopen.

This pandemic turned people like my good friend Fred into a couch potato, Fred said: “Lockdown as been hard just by staying motivated my pushups went from 20 every morning to a position to look for the TV remote underneath the couch sweating over how am I going to get up”.

Fred also pointed out that you are allowed to sit in a restaurant and eat your way to a better tomorrow but you’re not allowed to throw a few weights around in the gym.

Gyms just brought something else to the table for Fred, he said: “The gym was my happy place where I use to fit in, now I do not even fit into my pants.”

Like Fred, the gym is not just a place to stay in shape but a place where you can talk business with someone you do not even know, laugh at someone you do know and being motivated by the guy that looks like he never leaves the gym.

The gym for Fred is the bar without beer, a place where he fits in thanks to sweatpants.
