Futures 3 seeds named

Tennis South Africa has released the list of seeds and wildcards for the final Sun City Futures tournament, the Sun City Futures 3.

The tournament will get underway on Monday 9 June while the finals have been scheduled to take place on Friday 13 June.

The tournament is part of the three event Sun City Futures series for men and women that offers international world ranking points and prize money totaling  R 750 000.00.

South African Davis Cup player Dean O’Brian is at the top of the men’s seeding, followed by countryman Tucker Vorster.

Vorster reached the final of the first Sun City Futures event but lost out to countryman Fritz Wolmarans.

Wolmarans is seeded third, while American player Tyler Hochwalt is the first outsider in fourth place.

On the women’s side, South African number two Chanel Simmonds tops the seeding despite her quarterfinal exit at the Futures 2 event.

France’s Clothilde De Bernardi, who was the runner-up at Futures 2, is seeded second, ahead of two more South Africans Madrie Le Roux and Natasha Fourouclas, who are seeded third and fourth, respectively.
