Lots of action on the Oval track
Racers from as far as Nelspruit arrived at Loskop Oval track raceway to take each other on, on the track.
The racing event took place on Saturday, May 31 at Loskop Oval track as soon as all the vehicles arrived they went to the pits as drivers got ready.
After three heats the judges and score keepers sorted out who the winners were for the evening. In the Rookies class; Melanie van Rooyen (first place) and Rina Du Preez (second place).
In the 1660’s class; Henry Hall (first place) and Tiaan Theron (second place). In the 2L race which was an interesting race; Trevor van Vollenstee (first place), Louwtjie Griessel (second place) and Kas van Heerden (third place).
The driver of the day trophy was handed to Trevor van Vollenstee, for coming first in his last heat and two second places and for his newly done up car.
The mixed finals was won by Willie Swart who borrowed a car after his car broke in the first heat. Willie was duped “The Stig” after this race with his excellent driving skills.
