Muscle men and women will show off their bodies
Bodybuilding has been a sport and lifestyle for many decades.
The most amazing and well-known bodybuilder of all decades is definitely Arnold Schwarzenegger. And it takes hard work and dedication to end up looking like that.
“Most of us are serious about the sport and we take it up as a lifestyle rather than a sport. The way we eat and need to eat and live our lives is a complete change for the good,” said Jaco van der Walt, chairman of Mpumalanga Bodybuilding Association.
History is in the making as the first provincial international federation for body building is hosting a show in eMalahleni.
“This promises to be the best and biggest show Mpumalanga has ever seen,” Jaco said.
That day will also hold significance as the best athletes will be chosen on that day to represent Mpumalanga in Cape Town from September 10 to 13 in the SA championships and on the SA champs they can even be selected to represent SA in the Amateur Olympia championships at Carnival City in October, which is a world’s championship competition, first time ever to be hosted in South Africa.
Make sure not to miss locals like Hein van Kraayenberg, Sean Koeberg, Gerhard Nel and Sam Kruger from Secunda, and many more to battle it out on the day for the best of the best now these are all top athletes in the sport and no one should miss this amazing opportunity to see this and be part of this spectacular event.
There are several divisions that the athletes can compete in. For the ladies there are: Ladies Beach Bikinis (two lineups), Ladies Fitness Bikini (six lineups), Ladies Finesse, Ladies Body Fitness (three lineups) and Women’s Physique.
Then there are the Juniors u.23, Senior Men’s Classic Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique, Masters Over 40+, Men’s Fitness and Senior Men’s Bodybuilding.
Athletes will pay R100 affiliation fee and R150 entry fee.
Make sure you are at civic theatre on August 9 when the finest and best sculptured bodies in the country get together in the show. All the action starts at 09:00.
Tickets are R200 per person, children u.12 R100 each and will be sold at the door. Children u.5 will enjoy free entry.
