Pumas triumphs in provincial match

Mpumalanga Senior Men took on KwaZulu-Natal this weekend during the provincial game and came out victorious.

The Pumas won the match by two wickets thanks to some nifty bowling and good fieldwork.
Mpumalanga won the toss and elected to field first on Saturday, October 25.

Shaun Neetling took two wickets at the cost of 47 runs. Ashley Methula also took two wickets during his nine overs at the loss of only 34 runs.

Lafras Moolman played brilliantly and bowled eight overs for 25 runs, also claiming two of KZN’s wickets. He also played his heart out on the field and managed 77 runs not out.
Witbank Cricket Club (WCC) did not fare as well as the Pumas during their match against Middelburg Cricket Club 2 (MCC2) on Saturday.

It was an uphill battle for WCC who lost the match by 13 runs.
Oliver Nielson scored 37 runs for the team compared to MCC2 best batsman, Pieter Smit, who managed 81 runs.
Steven van der Linde bowled a good nine overs, claiming four wickets at the loss of 31 runs.
