Hayabusa officially is the fastest

It is now official the Hayabusa is the fastest bike.

The Suzuki Hayabusa was crowned King of the Street after leaving a Kawasaki Zx-14 choking in its dust on Saturday, June 6.
The playground for motorbike and speed enthusiast was Extreme Raceway in Bronkhorstspruit. There were 110 entries.

Competitors competed in four classes and there was a special class for the ladies. The only lady racer for the day was Corné van Wyk Pretorius on her Kawasaki Zx-14.
The overall winner of the day however was Keenen Scholtz on his normal aspirated Suzuki Gsxr 1000.
Keenen, who hails from Pretoria, is only 19 years old and weighs 49kg. Without any nitros or turbos he clocked 9:54 seconds on 400m and reached a top speed of 235km an hour.

There was one bike who managed to clock 238km per hour, but this bike boasted a turbo and nitros.
“Thank you to everyone who made their way to the track, thank you to everyone who participated and who had put a magnificent show,” said Marchand de Kock, organiser of the event.
