Locals win Klipfontein Mountain bike race
The race took place on Saturday, April 30 and the start of the race was in the field across from Builders Warehouse.

Local cyclist from eMalahleni took all three places on the podium for all three races for the Laerskool Klipfontein Mountain Bike race in collaboration with GG Cycles and Sport.

Gerald Snel (third place), Patrice Gautier (first place) and Dean Traill (second place) winners of the 60km race on Saturday, April 30.

Damion Gomez (second place), Jeandre Gautier (first place) receiving prize from Christo Vermaak (Liaison Officer from Laerskool Klipfontein) and Morne Fouché (third place) winners of the 30 km race.

Nicholas and Johnathan Gautier came in first and second place in the 5km mountain bike race.
The course was designed by Patrice Gautier and Gert Jansen van Rensburg within two weeks, the course was cleaned by employees from Klipfontein who spent hours in the bushes, cutting back bushes, trees replacing rocks, making bridges and Mr Peach cut a beautiful track on his farm.

Taking the safe way down was Glen Cook as he completed the 30km race.
The race took place on Saturday, April 30 and the start of the race was in the field across from Builders Warehouse.

Terensia Lombard managed to go down ‘Gert se Gat’ without any problems on Saturday.

At ‘Gert se Gat’ Paul Venter a cyclist from eMalahleni went down without problems.
There was a 5km, 30km and a 60 km race, it was a tough track and the cyclists were faced with many obstacles along the route.
