Wihl will make his way down to Mossel Bay
The challenges on the route according to Wihl all depends on the weather conditions on the route
Wihl Vermaak will be cycling with Gert Nagel and Barry Crouch as they make their way to Mossel Bay on their bicycles.
The cycle will take place on May 22 and they will cover a distance of 1 450km.
Wihl started his cycling career in 2017 and since then he has not stopped.
Since he started cycling he accomplished so much.
Gert told Wihl that he will be doing the cycle trip to Mossel Bay.
“I then asked if I could join him and that is when we decided to do it for a good cause as well,” said Wihl.
Then Rizpah was mentioned and that is when they decided to do it for that organisation.
Wihl has done a lot of endurance rides to get himself ready for the total distance.
“Besides doing the time on the bicycle, you also have to prepare yourself mentally for this trip as well,” said Wihl.
The challenges on the route according to Wihl all depends on the weather conditions on the route.
“The next challenge will be the distance that we need to complete daily,” said Wihl.
For Wihl it’s very exciting and also scary at the same time to take on this challenge.
“We really hope that the community would take part in this with us so that we can make a difference for Rizpah,” said Wihl.
Wihl does not think the challenge is impossible, as according to him everything is possible.
“Just believe in yourself”.
