In March he released his EP titled ‘The Beginning’ which sold 50 copies in one week.

The musician from Phola started rapping in Grade 8 at Mehlwana Secondary School At first he was a Kwaito musician then much later he switched over to a genre he categorises as local Hip Hop trap.

In 2010 he meet up with Samkelo ‘Samza’ and Carlos forming a group called ‘Ghass’. The trio released a mixtape titled ‘Explosion’ which had four tracks.

In 2014 Ghass took a break in order for the artists to do their own projects.
“We still talk. Samza’ and I have continued with music and Carlos is going to be releasing something soon,” said King SK.
King SK’s first single ‘First Time’ was not on high rotation and the reason behind this is King SK feels he did not promote it well enough. In 2015 he released the second single titled ‘Blesser’. The reason behind the song title is that he believes he blesses his fans with good quality songs.
‘The Beginning’ has eight tracks in total. Featuring hit songs such as My jam, Sakanyuka, Mngan’wam, We the best, Winner and Soldier. The EP was produced by Teddy and Mapercent. The CD cover was done by MT Entertainment and Photography.

Another video King SK made an appearance on was for Samza’s song ‘Bazin laba’ shot in December last year.
So far 2017 is going well for King SK, he performed for the very first time in front of a crowd at Klarinet on June 16.
“This was my first gig ever. I had been releasing music but I had not been on stage performing my songs,” said King SK with excitement.
During this event he performed two exclusive songs ‘Haters’ and ‘Fak’imali’. The crowd’s favourite song ‘Blesser’ was also performed.
“Be on a look out for my music videos. My target is shooting at least four videos,” said King SK.
For the remaining months of the year the rapper is planning a radio tour, targeting radio stations such as Ikwekwezi, Moutse, Eyethu, Kaya and Rise FM for interviews.
Bookings are now pouring in for the muso scoring two gigs in one night (July 1). He will be performing at Ackerville and Estate Lounge in Wilge.
