Megan flies high

Local finalist heads for business awards

UMHLATHUZE Water PR specialist Megan Govender was literally ‘on a high’ today (Thursday) as she boarded a plane headed to a prestigious professional business awards ceremony at Emperor’s Palace in Johannesburg.

Megan was a nominated finalist in the Top Empowered: Young Achiever Award (under 40 Years) category of the Oliver Empowerment Awards, ‘inspiring and recognising leaders in transformation’.

Win or lose, Megan said she was thrilled to be a finalist – not merely in her personal capacity but as representing an entity that was proud to make a difference in people’s lives.

She was accompanied by members of the utility’s executive, with Mhlathuze Water honoured for its ‘outstanding achievement as a top empowered company in its sector and for contributing to the growth and sustainability of the South African economy’.
