Battle of the KZN choirs

Nineteen choirs will compete in the KwaZulu-Natal Arts and Culture Department’s annual choral competition this weekend.

The event will be at the Imbizo Hall in Empangeni on 15 and 16 June from 9am.

The competition aims to develop the genre of music by getting the youth involved as well as encouraging them to grow into becoming composers.

The programme includes emerging, intermediate and advanced categories as well as small ensembles.
