Grantleigh’s Hairspray

Grantleigh College will stage ‘Hairspray’ from the 17 to 20 March.

SET in the 1960s, Hairspray tells the tale of Tracy Turnblad, a plus-sized teenager with even bigger hair who dreams of becoming a dancer on ‘The Corny Collins Show’.

When Tracy’s dream comes true, Velma Von Tussel sees her as a threat to her daughter and does everything in her power to destroy Tracy.

Based on a book by Mark O’Donnell and Thomas Meehand with music by Marc Shaiman, the Grantleigh performers will bring the story to life on stage next month.

Curtain goes up at 6.30pm.

Tickets cost R50 per person and will be available from www.grantleigh.co.za or at the Grantleigh finance office.

For reserved seating contact Renier De Bruin on 035 5801581 or renier.debruin@grantleigh.co.za.
