Hippo Rally

Friday 29 August will see the start of the 16th annual Hippo Rally.

The popular event will again be held at Alkantstrand with pre-entries costing R200, gate entry on the day of the event R250 and day passes R100.

This year, the site will be screened off with a 1.8m ‘speed fence’ and an opportunity has presented itself for businesses to advertise on the fencing itself.

Besides the 1 000 plus participants that attend the Hippo Rally from all over SA, the advertising will be seen by residents from Richards Bay, Empangeni and surrounding areas.

Advertising boards will be manufactured from 3mm durable plastic Correx (2500mm by 1250mm).

The boards will be screen-printed with the company logo and other details which the business owner asks for.

The cost for a two-colour advert is R1 000 and this includes material, design, manufacture and the erection of the signboard.

The cost for a multi-coloured advert is R1 200.

Upon payment of an advert, the business owner or representative will receive a free day pass to the rally for Saturday, 30 August.
