How to choose the perfect venue

1. First of all, decide how many guests you would like to invite. Not all places can accommodate a large number of
   people, so it is important to find out the venue capacity.
2. Set up a realistic budget. Venues vary in rates, so it might be a good idea to research the going rate.
   Then, eliminate the venues that you cannot afford. You should never spend more than 50% of your budget on the venue.
   
3. Decide where you want to hold the event. Do you want the venue to be central, easy to reach for all your guests,
   or is the scenery more important to you? Should it be a beach or mountain wedding?
4. Are you willing to travel far – and more importantly, will your guests be willing to travel to a remote venue?
   In that case, you would have to also think about travel arrangements and accommodation for everyone.
   
5. Research your options. Check out Google Images, as well as reviews on travel websites like Tripadvisor for
   unstaged photographs and honest, objective reviews of the venue, if you cannot visit the venue during the season in which you’ll be
   having your function.
6. Choose the date of your function. Remember that most venues have out of season rates. However, also consider the season and weather –
   you don’t want to get married in the middle of the rainy season, or have an outdoor event when it’s scorching outside.
   Also remember that certain times of the year are more popular for functions, so the venue of your choice might be fully booked during December.
   That being said – always have a Plan B!
