Conservation partners honoured
Ezemvelo honorary officers handed out certificates to companies who donated and transported seven containers to the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve.
THE Imfolozi Honorary Officers Group recently hosted the donors of a number of containers to a ‘thank you’ dinner and weekend away in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park.
To date, seven containers have been donated for use as storage space as well as being converted into accommodation and placed in strategic areas for rangers’ use in the ongoing battle against rhino poaching.
Conservation Manager of Imfolozi Game Reserve Patrick Sibeko attended the function and stressed the importance of donations such as these, thanking representatives from donor companies for their invaluable support.
They included Mediterranean Shipping Company who donated all seven containers, PLM (Project Logistics Management), M3 Carriers and XL Distribution who were responsible for the transportation of the containers as well as 121 SAI Battalion Mtubatuba who did the off-loading of the containers in the park.
Should any other organisations or individuals have any equipment to donate, please contact the Secretary of the iMfolozi Honorary Officers, Annette Vorster, on 083 4574441 or email ubhejane@live.co.za
