FELIXTON sugar mill operations continued as normal this week as management and union representatives sat for further talks to end the deadlock relating to demands for the dismissal of a senior official.
Tongaat Hulett Sugar Mill employees at the Felixton plant downed tools last week, calling for General Manager Pius Masinga to step down.
According to reports, an agreement between management and employees is to be finalised in two weeks’ time and failure to do so will result in the commencement of legal strike action.
Masinga came under fire over alleged reports of poor management and abuse of power.
