PREPARING vehicles to reach remote and rural areas for the rollout thousands of mosquito nets to pregnant women and young children, 4×4 Mega World in Richards Bay sponsored the Kinsley Holgate Foundation humanitarian aid expedition vehicles fitment of 4×4 equipment and accessories this week.
Modern day explorer Kinsley Holgate said his Land Rover vehicles have been geared for the Botswana journey next week which will promote the ‘One Net, One Life’ campaign that aims to give out thousands of mosquito nets to help prevent malaria simply and cheaply.
The distribution will coincide with World Malaria Day on 25 April.
The anti -malaria campaign ensures that nets are replaced every three to five years and provides the foundation with the opportunity to gather invaluable research on malaria and mosquito net use, while educating rural communities.
‘Our ongoing malaria work continues and the Landrover, ‘Landy Rhino’, is visiting schools promoting the Rhino Art project which has gathered the largest number of art messages ever recorded in support of rhino protection.
