The business of love

The Business Women's Association visit Matshana Primary School.

The Business Women’s Association (BWA) of Zululand members spent the morning at Matshana Primary School recently and donated Easter eggs as well as more necessary items including school shoes and sanitary products for the young girls, who often miss school as they have no funds for these necessary items.

Tracy Steenkamp, BWA Zululand Coordinator said the association was grateful to the donors who had made the trip possible.

‘The smiles on the faces of these pupils said it all,’ she said.

‘Special thanks to Empangeni High School for the donation of school shoes, and the Felixton College Roots parents who so generously donated sanitary products for the young girls.

‘The teachers are so grateful and said that the absenteeism in the school has been a problem.

Teachers will now be able to hand the products to the girls when needed, which would add to their confidence, and decrease the levels of absenteeism,’ she said.
