Call for blood donations
SANBS are appealing to all donors to make their way to blood clinic in Richards Bay.
With the Easter holidays upon us, sufficient blood supplies will once again become critical owing to the high number of potential accidents over the festive weekend.
SANBS are appealing to all donors to make their way to their nearest donor centres.
Approximately 3 000 units of blood are needed by patients daily.
‘We understand that many people will be busy or going on holiday over this period, but it only takes about 30 minutes of your time to make a huge difference to others in need of blood,’ said SANBS National Communications Manager, Vanessa Raju.
