Thuthukani gets a R201 000 donation
Thuthukani Special School receives thousands, thanks to Canon.
IT was a memorable start to the new term for Thuthukani Special School after receiving a massive donation on Monday morning.
The Canon sales team visited the school to hand over a cheque of R201 000.
The sales team managed to raise the considerable amount by running an incentive over the past year whereby every rental contract signed resulted in the donation of one child’s school fees for the year.
The handover took place during the team’s annual braai for the school as part of their 67 Minutes for Nelson Mandela Day.
This effort is a huge step forward for a school that strives to uplift the quality of life of the children of Zululand with intellectual disability.
