GRAPHIC IMAGES: Cow shot after collision with car

The driver of the vehicle was fortunate to escape without injury after his Mazda collided with a cow

ANOTHER cow has had to be put down, following a collision with a car on Ngwelezane Road just before noon today.

Empangeni SPCA Senior Inspector Roland Fivaz confirmed the animal had sustained serious injuries and had to be shot.

Fivaz lamented that due to the animal not being branded, he could not track the ownership.

The driver of the Mazda 323, that was wrecked in the collision,  was fortunately not injured.

This incident is the latest in a spree of cattle related issues on the roads of Zululand.
