‘AS we continue making people’s lives better, we are mindful of the fact that we are where we are today as a country because of the invaluable contribution made by many foot soldiers.

‘We have many unsung heroes of our struggle, who have been forgotten and this needs to be corrected.

‘The freedom we now enjoy was not as a result of a one-man show, it was a collective sacrifice of brave men and women.’
