Seven South Africans on Forbes wealth list

ACCORDING to Forbes’ real-time list of the world’s billionaires, South African diamond magnate Nicky Oppenheimer remains the wealthiest South African by nett worth.

Although listed at number 216 on the world rankings, Oppenheimer is worth $7.7-billion.

Six other South Africans are on the list with Oppenheimer.

They are Johann Rupert (240) worth $7.1-billion, Koos Bekker (871) worth $2.8-billion, Patrice Motsepe (1025) worth $2.4-billion, Allan Gray (1214) worth $2-billion, Stephen Saad (1817) worth $1.2-billion and Desmond Sacco (2007) worth $1.0-billion.
