The suspects allegedly broke into a homestead and confronted the homeowner at gunpoint, demanding the car keys

QUICK police reaction led to the arrest of two armed suspects accused of house robbery in the Mapheleni Reserve last Wednesday.

The suspects allegedly broke into a homestead and confronted the homeowner at gunpoint,  demanding the car keys.

‘They attempted to start the vehicle, but failed,’ said police spokesperson, Captain Jabulani Mdletshe. ‘They then fled the scene.’

‘Police received a description of the men and later found them at a homsestead in possession of the car keys.’

A licensed 9mm pistol with nine 9mm rounds of ammunition and two magazines were also found  and confiscated.
