Eight award nominations for KZN cricket players

FIVE KZN Dolphins cricket players bagged nominations for the upcoming Cricket South Africa awards after producing consistent performances throughout the 2019/2020 season.

Leading the charge is Hollywoodbets KZN Coastal Women’s fast bowler Shabnim Ismail, who has been nominated in the Momentum Proteas T20 International Player of the Year, SA Fans Player of the Year and the prestigious Momentum Proteas Players’ Player of the Year categories.

Proteas star David Miller has two nominations – SA Fans Cricketer of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year categories.

He will be up against opening batsman and leading run scorer, Grant Roelofsen.

Dolphins’ stalwart and off-spinner, Prenelan Subrayen, has been nominated in the Player of the Year category in the four-day series.

Great news for the Dolphins camp is that newly recruited Ruan de Swart is also up for an award.

The young all-rounder has been nominated in the CSA provincial One Day Cricketer of the Year category.
