Life sentence for Manguzi father who raped his daughters
The man had impregnated one of his daughters
A 38-YEAR OLD man of George Reserve in Manguzi was on Friday convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment by the KwaNgwanase Regional Court for raping his two daughters.
The rapist, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the victims, was arrested last year after his 13-year-old daughter reported her sexual abuse to neighbours.

uMhlabuyalingana Ward 4 Councillor, Lucky Tembe, said they were pleased with the sentence.
‘When I heard about the girls’ ordeal, I reported the matter to local social workers.
‘They interviewed the victims, during which the eldest daughter revealed she had been impregnated by her father.
‘She told us that her father started raping her when she was 13 years old. She is now 18,’ Tembe said.
‘She refused to testify against him, arguing that she still loved him. The 13-year old did testify.
‘The man’s wife said she was not aware of the rapes.’
Tembe encouraged women and children to report sexual harassment and rapes to their elders or community leaders.
