This year's resounding message from participants was, 'Get high on life, not drugs'

A VIRTUAL event this year, the 14th annual Eyethu BayWatch/SANCA Walk away from drugs was a huge success, with Zululanders hitting the tarmac in support.

Every year, Eyethu BayWatch and SANCA Zululand come together to host the 5km fun walk/run which is usually held on a set route around Meerensee.

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions preventing mass gatherings, this year’s event was held virtually, with participants paying their R50 donation to the NPO and walking or running in their neighbourhood.

Usually, each team has the chance to be in the running for the best slogan and this year’s resounding message from participants was, ‘Get high on life, not drugs’.
