Nxumalo stands accused of killing two men in Zululand in 2013 – Mavela Ncube (23) and Ali Narsill (35).

Ncube was stabbed three times at a tavern in Block B in Mondlo. He was taken to a clinic where he later died.

Nxumalo was arrested shortly after the incident, but was granted bail.

Later that year he struck again, allegedly killing Narsill at a shop.

Nxumalo fled the area and has been on the run since.

He appeared in the Nquthu Magistrate’s Court last week and is expected to apply for bail on Wednesday.
