Taking legislature to the people of uMkhanyakude District

A report on the multi-party visits to all local municipalities in the uMkhanyakude District will be presented and debated during the Taking Legislature to the People sitting

The Speaker of KwaZulu-Natal Legislature, Hon Nontembeko Boyce and Members of the Legislature, invite the people of uMkhanyakude District and surrounding areas to be part of the Taking Legislature to the People Programme.

It will take place as follows:

  • Dates: 14 – 15 September 2021
  • Venue: NorDale Community Hall, Mtubatuba Local Municipality
  • Time: 9am

Due to the Level 3 Lockdown regulations which allow 50 people at the venue, members of the public are invited to join the proceedings of the Taking Legislature to the People, which will be streamed live on the following social media platforms:

This two-day sitting in Mtubatuba Local Municipality follows the multi-party visits by Members of the Legislature to all local municipalities under uMkhanyakude in June. The multiparty delegations met with communities to listen to their service delivery issues which need government intervention. A report on the multi-party visits will be presented and debated during the Taking Legislature to the People sitting.
