Media invited to KZN Energy Indaba in Richards Bay

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government is to host the KwaZulu-Natal Energy Indaba in Richards Bay from 12 to 13 March 2026.

The Premier of KZN, Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli, together with the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), Honourable Musa Zondi, in collaboration with the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone, will host the KZN Energy Indaba on Thursday and Friday, 12 to 13 March 2026.

The Indaba will convene high-level leadership from national and provincial government, state-owned entities, energy producers, investors, development agencies, and industry specialists to deliberate on practical solutions aimed at accelerating energy security and unlocking catalytic investment opportunities across KZN.

As the province strengthens its position to establish Richards Bay as a strategic energy hub, the Indaba will serve as a critical platform to address systemic challenges, enhance intergovernmental coordination, and advance the infrastructure development necessary to support industrialisation and sustainable economic growth.
