EFF shutdown to halt Richards Bay economic activity

The EFF King Cetshwayo region has vowed to bring the City of uMhlathuze to a standstill

Economic activity is expected to be disrupted as the EFF King Cetshwayo region is set to march to the Port of Richards Bay as part of a nationwide shutdown.

The party, which has been mobilising for support in Richards Bay and surrounding areas in the last week, has vowed to bring the City of uMhlathuze to a standstill on Monday, 20 March.

The threats have prompted Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) to put in place contingency plans to deal with the negative impact of the planned demonstration.
