Investigators appeal for assistance
Hlabisa traffic police officer superintendent Vincent Danisa was shot and killed after dropping off his child at a driving school
Investigators are appealing for any information or witnesses related to the murder of a senior traffic officer in Hlabisa last month.
Private investigators, Rick Crouch & Associates, are looking into the murder of Hlabisa traffic police officer superintendent Vincent Danisa, who was shot and killed on 7 February after dropping off his child at a driving school.
Crouch said the deceased was talking to another driver, while inside their vehicles, outside the Hlabisa Build-It. An unknown suspect walked between the two vehicles and shot Danisa through the driver’s side window.
“CCTV footage shows that, after the shooting, the gunman walked calmly from the scene and was picked up by a silver-grey Polo, believed to be his
getaway vehicle.
“Superintendent Danisa was a dedicated public servant who worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of the roads.
“His tragic death has left his colleagues and loved ones devastated, and we are committed to finding those responsible for this senseless act of violence,” he said.
“We believe there are people who may have witnessed the incident or have information that could help the police identify the perpetrators.”
Crouch said they would keep the identity of anyone who came forward confidential.
