Rich Boyz must dig deep

IT’S a must-win situation for Richards Bay FC when they host Chippa United at the King Zwelithini Stadium this evening (Wednesday), kick-off 7.30pm.

The Rich Boyz have had a dismal second half of the season and have slipped from second place on the DStv Premiership log in December to a lowly 12th position at present.

This is their third-last match of the season and they sit on 32 points, while Chippa (26) and Maritzburg (25) occupy the relegation places at 15th and 16th respectively.

Sandwiched between these are TS Galaxy (31) and Marumo Gallants (28) which means Richards Bay – unless they have at least one more win – could be drawn into the relegation battle.

But if they carry on the way they left off against Sundowns last time out, there should be no problems.
