Countless crab hatchlings were captured in St Lucia

St Lucia Estuary mouth is teeming with life as countless crab hatchlings make their way into the system.

“Having hatched at sea, the megalopae larvae of the Varuna litterata or peregrine crab will stay within the estuarine environment for some time while they moult into what is effectively a mini-crab form,” explained Professor Digby Cyrus.
