Science Week promises to be a big blast with Unizulu
The week-long programme aims to promote science and technology among South African pupils and communities
Schools and science fans are invited to celebrate National Science Week with the Unizulu Science Centre.
National Science Week is an initiative by the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) to promote science and technology among South African pupils and communities.

This year’s theme Transforming Lives through Evidence-based Science, explains problem-solving and decision-making when responding to situations, by using information that has been researched or experienced.
The Unizulu Science Centre in Richards Bay will present a fun programme to advance the message that science is a fun and fascinating subject, with a focus on energy and agriculture as two branches of science.

The science centre will be running a week-long programme which includes a From Gums to Bums digestion science show, Come Code With Me robotics programme, Chemical Connections science show, and more!
The centre invites schools to visit them from 31 July to 4 August, with an Open Day for the public on 5 August.
Schools should please book beforehand. Entrance is free for the Open Day.
