WATCH: IFP KZN leader denies party divisions

Ntuli was addressing the media in Melmoth on Tuesday

THE IFP’s KZN Chairperson, Thami Ntuli has rejected claims of division and plans to oust the party’s president, Velenkosini Hlabisa.

Ntuli, who is also King Cetshwayo District mayor, was addressing the media on Tuesday at a sod-turning event for a water project in Melmoth.

He was questioned on possible tensions within the party ahead of next year’s general elections, and a recent petition which appears to have been signed by prominent IFP leaders.

The petition calls for a National Council meeting purportedly to vote out Hlabisa as party president.
