WATCH: Reported fatalities in school bus accident at Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve

An as yet undetermined number of fatalities have been reported following an accident involving a school bus on the R618 between Mtubatuba and Hlabisa, inside Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park (HiP).

SAPS uMkhanyakude District spokesperson Captain Sbusiso Mkhize confirmed the accident and that the police from Hlabisa were on scene.

Mkhize said some fatalities have been reported, and that some of the injured have been transported to hospital.

Hlabisa Municipality spokesperson Mondli Jele said the municipality’s fire department and law enforcement have attended the scene.
